Tim Mawer

Tim is a Badminton England PT2 Coach based in Lincolnshire and has enjoyed working on the project since its introduction during 2004, setting out a goal of providing a hall, weekly training and developing the sport throughout Gambia.
"Since starting this project with Les I have visited The Gambia 18 times, working with many Gambian people. We now have two teams and the new team sees more challenges and hopefully putting right mistakes made since day one. This is an exciting project that part of me is attached too and my aims are simple, give Africans the right to play sport.
"I am delighted to be involved and have made many friends from the continued experience. You too can also make a difference."
Sue Taylor

"Although I am not a badminton player myself, I have a keen interest in the sport due to my son playing for the last four years. I have been involved with the fundraising for this project since 2004.
"After visiting The Gambia this year (2008) and witnessing for myself the excellent facilities we have provided, bringing so much pleasure to these boys, it has made me more determined to stay involved with this worthwhile cause."
Bill Richmond

Bill is our webmaster and hails from Newcastle upon Tyne. Although not a professional website designer, he manages a few sites in his spare time and created our website in May 2005.
"I have never stepped foot on a badminton court but I'm keen to support the team's efforts by continuing to manage this site on behalf of Gambia Badminton."
Many, many thanks to those who have helped me out since 2004... we wouldn't be here without you all.
